Scottish portrait artist Shannon Ross draws Winnipeg Jets sniper Patrik Laine

Last year (almost to the day) Finnish portrait artist Akke Saari drew his countryman Patrik Laine in a 29 hour process that drew (no pun intended) rave reviews from folks over here in Winnipeg.  Fast forward a year and another overseas artist is putting her talents with pencil down on canvass which will bring delight to Jets fans after Scottish portrait artist Shannon Ross also drew quite the portrait of Patrik Laine.

Luckily for us, Shannon Ross filmed the 50 hour process which you can see here condensed to three minutes and 23 seconds:

The time and patience it takes is unbelievable and it really is hard to believe this was drawn and isn’t a photo.

Check out more of Shannon’s work on Twitter @shannonrossart as well as on her Instagram @shannonrossart.
