Not that this news is a surprise as it was the timeline given by Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press but head coach Rick Bowness was reluctant yesterday after morning skate to provide a timeline until after Kyle Connor had been seen by team doctors in Winnipeg.
Today we heard from Sara Orlesky of the Jets the following which confirms Mike’s initial report:
“After meeting with doctors here in Winnipeg, it’s confirmed Kyle Connor is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a lower-body injury.”
Tough news obviously for the Jets winger who was on a pace to set a career high for goals but at least he’ll be back this season.
