Not that this news is a surprise as it was the timeline given by Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press but head coach Rick Bowness was reluctant yesterday after morning skate to provide a timeline until after Kyle Connor had been seen by team doctors in Winnipeg.

Today we heard from Sara Orlesky of the Jets the following which confirms Mike’s initial report:
“After meeting with doctors here in Winnipeg, it’s confirmed Kyle Connor is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a lower-body injury.”
Tough news obviously for the Jets winger who was on a pace to set a career high for goals but at least he’ll be back this season.
He's closing in on his first game since January 13th.
The 2024 2nd rounder is in Winnipeg where he'll spend the rest of the season…
