From John Dellapina of the NY Daily News:

Finally, about six months longer than it should have taken, the Rangers and Rozsival are on the verge of signing a new contract.

The defenseman who resurrected his career upon signing with the Rangers coming out of the lockout is hammering out the details of a long-term deal that will keep him in a Broadway Blueshirt.

Read more from Dellapina here.

Rozsival is a solid defenseman who somehow goes fairly under the radar even though he plays in NY. He was arguably one of the top two defensemen remaining on the market when he re-signed. The Czech defender can log minutes in all types of situations and generally gets matched up against the other team’s top players. Solid re-signing by the Rangers.
