It appears that time for 6’7″ Osby, Sweden native Axel Blomqvist with the Jets organization is over.
Blomqvist was undrafted in the 2013 NHL draft when he was eligible but he was signed by Winnipeg in October of 2013. After finishing his junior career with the Moose Jaw Warriors in 2014-15 he was assigned to the Manitoba Moose for the 2015-16 season. He split his time between the Moose (33 games 1 goal 4 assists) and Tulsa Oilers (25 games 5 goals 5 assists) of the ECHL.
He has spent the 2016-17 season with Tulsa. He last played on November 12th scoring a goal in a 3-1 Oilers win but wasn’t in the lineup last night in a 2-0 loss.
