According to several sources, including The Sports Network, The Atlanta Thrashers have claimed right winger Mark Recchi off waivers. Several teams were apparently interested, including Carolina and Philadelphia, but the multiple-Stanley Cup winner was snapped up by Hotlanta. Recchi was put on re-entry waivers Friday and sent down to Wilkes-Barre Scranton of the Amerian Hockey League after stuggling with the Pens this season, putting up eight points in 19 games ( 2 goals, 6 assists).
