The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have recalled forwards Patrice Cormier and Carl Klingberg from the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League.
Cormier, 23, played in three games with the Jets during his last recall from Mar. 16-22/14. He has played in 54 games with the IceCaps this season earning 21 points (6G, 15A) and 89 penalty minutes. The Moncton, NB native has played in 46 career NHL games between Atlanta and Winnipeg for three career points (1G, 2A) and 18 career penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round, 54th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.
Klingberg, 23, has played in 57 games with the IceCaps so far this season. In that time, the winger has recorded 36 points (19G, 17A) and 42 penalty minutes. He has played in seven career NHL games, between Atlanta and Winnipeg, where he has recorded four penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round, 34th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
