Not surprisingly the Jets have assigned six players to the IceCaps as they finish off the regular season and get ready for a playoff push.

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they re-assigned Ben Chiarot, Patrice Cormier, Michael Hutchinson, Carl Klingberg, Eric O’Dell and Zach Redmond to the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League.
Chiarot, 22, made his NHL debut on Nov. 2/13 against the Chicago Blackhawks. He returns to the IceCaps where he has played in 63 games for 17 points (5G, 12A) and 85 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the fourth round, 120th overall, in the 2009 NHL Draft.
Cormier, 23, has played in nine games with the Jets this season for three assists and seven penalty minutes. He returns to St. John’s where he has appeared in 58 games for 26 points (9G, 17A) and 98 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round, 54th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.
Hutchinson, 24 made his NHL debut on Apr. 7/14 against the Minnesota Wild. The Barrie, ON native appeared in three games with the Jets for a 2-1-0 record, 1.64 GAA and 0.943 save percentage. After 22 games with the IceCaps, Hutchinson earned a 15-5-1 record, 2.33 GAA and 0.923 save percentage. He was originally drafted by the Boston Bruins in the third round, 77th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.
Klingberg, 23, played in three games with the Jets this season and earned his first NHL goal on Apr. 11/14 at Calgary. He returns to St. John’s where he has played in 62 games with the IceCaps for 38 points (20G, 18A) and 42 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the second round, 34th overall, in the 2009 NHL Draft.
O’Dell, 23, has played in 30 games with the Jets this season. In that time, the Ottawa, ON native has recorded seven points (3G, 4A) and 10 penalty minutes. After 39 games with St. John’s, O’Dell has recorded 38 points (16G, 22A) and 31 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round, 39th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.
Redmond, 25, appeared in 10 games with the Jets this season for three points (1G, 2A). The right-handed defenceman will return to St. John’s where he has earned 21 points (6G, 15A) and 26 penalty minute after 37 games played. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round, 184th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.
