Glen Sather announced today that the Rangers have agreed to terms with restricted free agent forward Fredrik Sjostrom….
He was acquired by the Rangers from Phoenix on Feb. 26, along with David LeNeveu, Josh Gratton and a fifth-round choice in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, in exchange for Al Montoya and Marcel Hossa.

Sjostrom is a checking winger with limited offensive upside. He may have a problem making the Rangers’ starting line-up on a consistent basis considering the team has an abundance of depth forwards.
He's closing in on his first game since January 13th.
The 2024 2nd rounder is in Winnipeg where he'll spend the rest of the season…
