The 3rd installment of Prospect Pulse, 1992’s and 1993’s edition:
Trace Redmond-F-(1992) Dallas Stars AAA (6’3, 185) A big winger who can move well for a tall kid. Surprisingly agile and plays with a mean streak. Good hands in front of the net.
Garret Pederson-D-(1992) Dallas Stars AAA (6′, 170) Mobile defenseman who is a fierce competitor and never, ever gives up on a play. Plays tough even when out matched and clears the puck well. Good first pass.
Nick Lucy-F-(1992) Deerfield Falcons (5’11, 150) Good team leader who takes all the important faceoffs and plays on special teams. The straw that stirs the drink for this team. Good all around skills, though not outstanding in any area.
Brody Sharp-G-(1993) Florida Panthers Alliance (5’10, 160) Competitve and athletic goalie who kept his overmatched team in games. Plays the angles well and controls his rebounds.
Hunter Generou-D-(1993) Grand Rapids Griffins (5’8, 145) Smallish defenseman with a quick first step. Will not shy away from contact and makes a good first pass.
Jimmy McDowell-D-(1993) Little Caesars (6′, 174) A smooth skating defenseman with size and excellent offensive skills.
Jacob McDowell-F-(1993) Little Caesars (6′, 170) Big winger with good touch down low. Tough to pin on the boards and effective at cycling the puck.
Zach Mudge-F-(1992) Little Caesars (5’8, 145) Small centerman who has very good offensive instincts and is a talented playmaker. Will go into traffic and is able to make plays at speed.
Kacper Guzik-F-(1992) Little Caesars (5’10, 172) Old time winger who goes up and down the boards and plays bigger. Very physical and seems to like to hit. Laser beam of a shot that he can get off quickly.
Matt Ragains-F-(1992) MDHL Green/Portage Central HS (Michigan) (6’1, 170) Center with good speed and hockey smarts. Always around the puck.
