Preseason Game 3: Oilers 4 Jets 3 post-game recap

A phenomenal back hand pass by Leon Draisaitl to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins gave the home side a late victory and ensured that the Jets comeback fell short as the Oilers took it 4-3 in Edmonton.

Notable:

Declan Chisholm (2018 5th rounder) and Jeff Malott made their Jets debuts.  Chisholm made a nifty pass to Mark Schefiele which led to the second goal for Winnipeg.

Kristian Reichel and Jeff Malott showed off some good tenacity during the game.

The Jets announced that Nelson Nogier suffered a lower-body injury and wouldn’t play in the 3rd period.

In less than two minutes in the final frame the Jets scored a pair courtesy of Mark Scheifele and Josh Morrissey.

Evgeny Svechnikov picked up his third assist of the preseason as he found Morrissey for the game tying goal.

Jansen Harkins and Dominic Toninato both were noticeable.
