We spoke to Winnipegger Kevin Clark after the Jets 1st exhibition game.  Here are some of his thoughts:

Illegal Curve: How did it feel to score the first goal in an exhibition game in front of your family?

Kevin Clark: “Its a good feeling to have them here, and to score one tonight, I’m just happy they could see that. To play in an exhibition game, let alone tonight in front of my hometown it’s pretty exciting for me.”

Illegal Curve: What did you think of the crowd, were the players able to feed off of it?

Kevin Clark: “Forsure, you saw 30 seconds in how jacked up the guys were  and excited to get the game going. The crowd was electric tonight, the guys fed off it the entire night.”

Illegal Curve: Did you know your goal was going in all the way?

Kevin Clark: “No, I just tried to get a handle on it, I knew Scheifele was going to pass to me, I just happened to get it on my backhand and punched it through.”

Illegal Curve: What was it like playing with the Jets 1st round pick?

Kevin Clark: “He’s a good player, he’s a heads up guy, he can make plays, I think our line played well we had alot of (offensive) zone pressure, and created alot of offensive chances tonight.”
