Patrik Laine named The Hockey Player Of The Year 2016 in Finland

According to Pekka Jalonen who is a hockey writer for the Finnish paper Iltalehti the Jets super rookie has won The Hockey Player Of The Year 2016 in Finland.

Considering the year he had for Finland this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone.  A short list:

– Gold medal at the IIHF World U20 Championship;
– IIHF World Junior Championship All-Star Team
– Silver medal at the Ice Hockey World Championships;
– IIHF World Championship All-Star Team
– IIHF World Championship MVP
– 2016 Liiga championship with Tappara;
– Jari Kurri Trophy (Liiga Playoff MVP)
