Hockey Canada is considering two options for replacing Benoit Groulx, who had to step down as the national junior team head coach after accepting a job with Rochester of the American League.
One option, sources say, is to promote national junior team assistant coach Willie Desjardins to head coach.
Another option being considered is naming former NHL head coach Pat Quinn as national junior team bench boss for this year’s World Junior Championship in Ottawa.
