What team beat writers are saying this afternoon:

  • Here’s how the Bruins lined up at practice today.  They need to get back to their defensive ways.  The Bruins looked out of sorts against Pittsburgh on the weekend.
  • Mikael Tellqvist starts tonight for the Sabres.  Surprised it took this long for him to get his first start.
  • The Hurricanes figured four lines isn’t enough at practice today.  Most teams wish they had that depth.
  • Manny Malhotra not at Blue Jackets practice today.  Chris Gratton on the first line–YIKES!
  • Nick Boynton and Anthony Stewart are healthy scratches for the Panthers tonight.  No surprise at all here.  Both these players will find themselves in and out of the lineup–but mostly out.
  • Kurtis Foster will make his home debut tonight when the Wild hosts the Avalanche.  Nice to see for this must-win game.
  • Some Brodeur quotes from today.  Who feels like he isn’t winning that game tonight?
  • The Rangers lines from practice today.  Avery didn’t speak to the media which is not surprising but it is disappointing if you enjoy that type of entertainment.
  • Empty Netters previews what the Penguins will go up against tonight.  I’m feeling like that Thrashers streak ends tonight.
  • Jose Theodore starts for the Capitals tonight.  Don’t tell me you aren’t nervous Caps fans…
