What team beat writers are saying this afternoon:
- The Ducks have announced a ticket price freeze for next season. Good on them. All teams should be doing this in light of the economy’s more than significant downturn.
- Peter Chiarelli talks trade deadline. I don’t see him doing anything significant and I think that is the right move.
- No timetable on the Ryan Miller injury. I can’t wait for the daily updates that reveal next to nothing.
- See you later Jimmy Howard. That didn’t last long…
- Jacques Martin talks about the Jay Bouwmeester situation. To me, he has to be dealt. They can get some nice assets back for him and, I believe, still make the playoffs.
- Dustin Brown can’t play tomorrow night because he’s his wife is pregnant. I got him confused with his Governor.
- Owen Nolan is out tomorrow and Andrew Brunette is back in. They need both goal scorers for this road trip.
- Habs lines from practice today. Canucks next up for team controversy.
- Radek Bonk is expected to be out of the Predators lineup for two weeks. Will miss his faceoff presence.
- Brett Cyraglis doesn’t like the Renney firing. Fair points.
- The obligatory Viktor Kozlov injury update. When is this guy coming back already?
