On the Beat: What’s $3 million between friends?

• Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch takes a look at the Washington Capitals heading into 2009/10.  Theodore and Nylander are eating up a lot of that cap and the Capitals are feeling it.
• Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News profiles of Loui Eriksson.  This is a very good read because not many people know about the 36-goal Eriksson.
• Oren Koules have confirmed that Len Barrie has paid him back for that $3 million personal loan.  What’s $3 million among friends?  Oh wait, that’s a lot of money.  Oh wait, they aren’t friends…
• Alexandre Giroux has re-signed with the Hershey Bears of the AHL.  This guy has sick hands.  To be honest, I’m not sure why he couldn’t specialize in an offensive role on a NHL team.
