What team beat-writers are saying this afternoon:

  • P.J. Axelsson is expected to return to the Bruins line-up tonight when they take on the Maple Leafs.  He is slated to line up on the team’s third line.
  • Here are the Blue Jackets’ lines from practice today.  Peca returns, and top two lines remain the same.
  • Even though he is struggling, Marty Turco gets the start tonight for the Stars on Long Island.  Turco has been playing poorly lately, but the team feels he needs to play his way out of it.
  • Still no real clairification on Brian Rolston’s injury status.  Doesn’t seem like the veteran is close to returning.
  • Wild winger Owen Nolan is out for tonight’s game but is slated to return on Saturday night.  The Wild is slowly but surely getting all its players back.
  • Could Alex Auld play both weekend games for the Senators?  Possible and maybe even likely.
