- Adrian Dater of the Denver Post wishes Joe Sakic a happy 40th birthday. Dater thinks Sakic will retire, but the jury is still out on that decision.
- Alexei Kovalev says nothing is personal between him and the Canadiens. Gainey treated him very well during his time in Montreal, so nothing should be personal.
- Kris Letang and Tyler Kennedy try and predict the weather. The Penguins players always seem to partake in funny bits like this.
- Dany Heatley is not getting traded to Columbus, says James Gordon. Why would the Jackets trade for Heatley? Does he fit into their game plan moving forward? Hitchcock would hate his defensive play and that team appears to have good chemistry. On top of that, the team has a greater need at center.
