• James Gordon is reporting that Ray Emery thinks former Senator Dany Heatley will score 60 goals this season.
• Nineteen year old Luca Sbisa has been seeing quite a big work load and it appears that Ducks coach Randy Carlyle thinks that’s the way it should be.
• The Bruins returned Max Sauve to his junior club despite a strong training camp writes Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe.

• Sunday’s game against the Panthers has provided many storylines for the Flames writes Scott Cruickshank of the Calgary Herald.  Although Theo Fleury is still stealing hears (and scoring goals) in Cow Town.
  
• There is a fine line between just enough minutes and too many and the Canes will be monitoring the minutes of their players this pre season.
• Perhaps the Wings are too old as the “groin line” of Zetterberg, Cleary and Bertuzzi are all sitting out the trip to Manhattan with tender groins.
• David Staples is reporting that NHL players are upset about the team remaining in Phoenix as well as the firing of Paul Kelly.
• Looks like the Wild fans are going to be quite pleased by the moves to bring Havlat and Sykora if last night’s 3-0 victory over the Hawks is any indication of how they will play writes Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

• New Leaf Phil Kessel was on the receiving end of a few verbal barbs from his old team and Damian Cox thinks its more about saving face, while at the same time he thinks Ron Wilson better be successful if he wants to save his job.
• Bruce Boudreau has the luxury of talent on his team, but says that for the prospects still hoping to make the Caps, he will know talent when he see’s it writes Tarik El-Bashir of the Washington Post.
