• Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News, who will be a guest on tonight’s Illegalcurve Radio Show, writes that despite only being a third of the way thru the season, people are suggesting that Sabres goalie Ryan Miller is the best in the world.
  
• The Florida Panthers made some line-up moves this morning, writes George Richardson of the Miami Herald.
• The Montreal Canadiens continue to tinker with their line-up as they traded Kyle Chipchura to the Anaheim Ducks for a fourth-round draft choice in 2011.
• The amount of ice time for the Devils Jamie Langenbrunner is likely to decrease now that the Devils are getting some players back from the injured list, which is good news because his nagging injuries are likely a direct result of playing too many minutes.  In other Devils news, goalie Martin Brodeur is now a U.S. citizen although that shouldn’t lead to panic in Canada.
• Despite the fact that the Rangers sent Bobby Sanguinetti down to the AHL as it was expected that Wade Redden would be ready to go for New York’s next game, he was absent from practice today, writes Steve Zippay of Newsday.
  
• James Gordon of the Ottawa Citizen breaks down last night’s Senators/Sharks games and feels that despite the Sharks winning, the jury is still out on who won the summertime deal.
• Flyers captain Mike Richards does what good leaders do which is to take responsibility and not blame others for the team’s recent funk.
• The city of Pittsburgh might be the city of champions but it appears that the Steelers and Penguins still have some learning to do when it comes to making a winning commercial.
  
• Their starting goaltender wound up in an ambulance with an elevated heart rate last night, Tomas Kaberle went ahead of Tim Horton and the Maple Leafs ended the night in seventh heaven.
• While he was suspended for two games the good news in Washington is that Alex Ovechkin was back on the ice today practicing with the team and the Washington Post’s Tarik El-Bashir has the new lines sans AO.
