On the Beat: Buyer’s market?

What team beat writers are saying this afternoon:

• Yesterday was a better day for Patrick Kane, writes Tim Sassone.  Hopefully this story was blown out of proportion and this situation did not occur in the way it was first reported.
• Jared Aulin has been invited to Columbus training camp.  There was a good piece on him on HNIC a while back, and he seemed like a stand-up guy.  Hopefully he can make a return to the NHL.
• John Glennon talks about the buyer’s market in respect to David Poile and the Nashville Predators.  This team needs offense, so an offensive player or two for reasonable one-year deal(s) makes sense.
