On the Beat: Avery saga not over?

What team beat writers are saying this afternoon:

• Both Erik Christensen and Zach Bogosian were back on the ice for Thrashers’ practice this morning.  That is good news for a team that is short on talent/depth.
• Craig Rivet was back on the ice this morning for the Sabres.  His injury obviously isn’t serious.
• Mike Heika this the Sean Avery story is far from over.  I agree.  Really, nothing has been resolved except for the fact that Avery won’t ever play for the Stars again.  So there is still that kind of important/big problem of actually getting Avery off of the team’s roster.
• It looks like Scott Clemmensen will get the call tomorrow night versus the Leafs.  Sutter must be thinking, why not ride the hot hand?
• Here are some notes from Capitals practice today.  Fedorov is injured again.
