What team beat writers are saying this afternoon:

  • Both Erik Christensen and Zach Bogosian were back on the ice for Thrashers’ practice this morning.  That is good news for a team that is short on talent/depth.
  • Craig Rivet was back on the ice this morning for the Sabres.  His injury obviously isn’t serious.
  • Mike Heika this the Sean Avery story is far from overI agree.  Really, nothing has been resolved except for the fact that Avery won’t ever play for the Stars again.  So there is still that kind of important/big problem of actually getting Avery off of the team’s roster.
  • It looks like Scott Clemmensen will get the call tomorrow night versus the Leafs.  Sutter must be thinking, why not ride the hot hand?
  • Here are some notes from Capitals practice today.  Fedorov is injured again.
