Observations of Team Lesuk on day 1 of Winnipeg Jets training camp

After a busy morning covering Team Neufeld we switched our focus to Team Lesuk for the afternoon.

Illness:

2019 4th rounder Henri Nikkanen is sick as per Kevin Cheveldayoff.

Lines & D Pairs:

What would day 1 of camp be without us overanalyzing lines and D pairs from a group that represents only half the regulars on the team. But this is hockey in a Canadian market so here is how things looked this morning:

Ehlers-Namestnikov-Iafallo
Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton
Barlow-Lambert-Ford
Torgersson-Toninato-Levis
He-Zhilkin-Lucius

Fleury-Pionk
Stanley-DeMelo
Sautner-Bauer
Anhorn-Barteaux

Kahkonen
Comrie

Note:

Brad Lambert and Nikolaj Ehlers would be a deadly fast combination. Chaz Lucius, who is slowly being worked back into game shape, looked good out there.

Media:

Up next:

Team Lesuk skates tomorrow at hockey for all centre at 10 AM. Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel as that’s where we will be posting all interviews.
