– Eric Duhatschek, in his Globe and Mail commentary, discusses the return of Anaheim Ducks defenseman Scott Niedermayer and how he doesn’t see a trend developing where older players rest up then return midway through the season.
– In the National Post, a quick little note on Sidney Crosby winning the Lou Marsh Award, as Canada’s outstanding athlete. It is the first time since 1993 that a hockey player has won the award.
