No decision from Bankruptcy Court today–***Update at Bottom***

A bankruptcy hearing that could determine the fate of the Phoenix Coyotes is underway.

But there won’t be a decision Tuesday, according to Judge Redfield T. Baum.

“To save the suspense I’m not going to rule from the bench today,” Baum told the court.

Instant analysis: This isn’t a surprise but should push the suspense back a day or two.  If I had to guess, I’d say the NHL is going to win the case and if that happens apparently Balsillie has said he won’t appeal.  However, I have read stories of people who think Balsillie could very well win.

Judge Baum has made a decision, and it’s somewhat of a surprising one. He has ordered both sides to mediation to settle who in fact is the rightful owner of the Coyotes. More to come on this decision later in the evening.
