  • Details on the Jason Pominville contract have been released and the deal is five years for $26.5 million.  (Writer’s note: You may think that the Sabres are overpaying but Pominville is a terrific winger with a great shot and an impressive scoring touch.)
  • Sergei Zubov is out a minimum of four weeks with a hip injury, reports Mike Heika.
  • Jassen Cullimore has been invited to Panthers training camp.
  • Jets fans rejoice, Sean Leahy of Going Five Hole has put up a video of good ole Nelson Emerson throwing the puck past Eddie Belfour with his glove…and it counted. (Writer’s Note: I was at that game and was shocked but happy that the goal was allowed.  Nice video find by Leahy.)
  • The Flyers have signed J.S. Aubin to a one-year contract.
