• The New Jersey Devils win a wild one over the Pittsburgh Penguins 5- 4. Arron Asham scored the game winner for the Devils.
• Former Winnipeg Jet Keith Tkachuk and Brad Boyes had two points each. The St Louis Blues knock off the Blackhawks 3 – 1.
• Petteri Wirtanen and Drew Miller each score their first NHL goal for the Ducks as they eat up the Preds 3-1

–Martin Havlat will be out at least four weeks as he rehabs his injured shoulder. I could see this being a year long problem, you knew that when they couldn’t diagnose it immediately he would be gone for a while.
