Nightly Recap: Toews Scores a Beauty

• The Penguins defeat the Hurricanes 4 – 3 in a shootout where the first five of six shots scored. Sidney Crosby scored the shootout winner on a fantastic move.
• Believe it or not but Pascal Leclaire now has three shutouts on the year. He made 21 saves, Rick Nash and Mike Peca had 2 points each. The Blue Jackets beat the Sabres 3 – 0.
• Down 3-0, the Avs came back to tie it at 3-3, Tuomo Ruutu then scored the winner for the ‘Hawks with 1:30 remaining. Jonathan Toews scored a highlight reel goal which will be replayed over again all year. Blackhawks 5 Avalanche 3
• Kings 4 Canucks 2 – Mike Cammalleri scored his league leading 8th goal.
