The name Pond Hockey conjures images of a group of kids getting together all across Canada and the U.S. playing some pick-up hockey.

Well the guys at SnagFilms have put together an incredible film about this winter past-time.

The film includes interviews from NHL greats including Wayne Gretzky, Neal Broten, and Sidney Crosby as they discuss “The pond” where hockey was born. Pond Hockey asks: is there room for the free spirit of the pond in today’s sports experience, or will the open sky and howling winds give way to whistles and metal ceilings?”
