- The Ducks play their biggest game of the season tonight at Nashville. The Ducks are feeling good about themselves heading into tonight’s game.
- In Atlanta, as he has done throughtout his career, Todd White continues to produce points without much attention.
- On one hand the Bruins want to get out and play another game, on the other hand they don’t mind having an extended break to get some much-needed rest, writes Fluto Shinzawa. Building on Saturday’s win is going to be important.
- Apparently there exists a chance that Ryan Miller will start for the Sabres in net tomorrow. Buffalo captain Craig Rivet made sure to shift the blame for the Sabres’ struggles away from coach Lindy Ruff and onto the players’ shoulders.
- Miikka Kiprusoff is a hero back home in Finland. Chris Osgood was horrible for the Wings yesterday, writes Eric Francis of the Calgary Sun. Osgood was that bad, but the Flames will take two points however they can get them. The Flames did a good job of staying out of the box.
- Ray Whitney scored an overtime goal to lead the Hurricanes to an important 3-2 victory over the Panthers.
- Scott Hannan has heightened expectations for the Avalanche in 2010.
- Columbus forward Andrew Murray is hard to play against, and that is one of the biggest compliments coach Ken Hitchcock will give out.
- Dave Tippett’s job is not in jeopardy in Dallas and that is the right decision, writes Tim Cowlishaw. With so many injuries in Dallas, the Stars are giving more responsibility to Tom Wandell.
- The Wings didn’t play poorly on Monday, but netminder Chris Osgood had a tough night. Andres Lilja is still sidelined by a concussion. Tomas Holmstom also remains sidelined.
- The Oilers have signed Jordan Eberle to a contract and he will head to the AHL immediately.
- Florida had its chances but ended up losing to the Hurricanes in overtime last night. “If we can’t play above .500 and win some games, we don’t deserve to get in,” said coach Peter DeBoer. In positive news, Nathan Horton returned to the lineup on Monday.
- The Kings visit the Blues tonight.

- Dave Stubbs has more information on the rumored sale of the Habs. Red Fisher says that all these distractions have to be playing a part in the Habs’ struggles. If Gillett does sell, Montreal will miss him, opines Pat Hickey. The ridiculous question of the day led to the answer that the Habs won’t be leaving Montreal.

- Combine Martin Biron with a good power play and the Flyers defeated the Devils 4-2 yesterday at the Wachovia Center. Mike Richards is certainly in consideration for the Selke Trophy. The Flyers players sure respect Martin Brodeur.
- The Coyotes have recalled Al Montoya from the AHL.
- The Penguins have looked like a completely different team lately than the one earlier this season, says defenseman Phillipe Boucher. The Penguins aren’t a shoe-in for the playoffs just yet.
- “Who we’re playing and all of that doesn’t really matter in the end; it’s 10 games left in the season and we need points in all of them,” said Blues forward David Backes.
- Richard Petiot of the Lightning would have loved for his dad to see him play in the NHL. Lightning coach Rick Tocchet has received a vote of confidence from Brian Lawton.
