- The Hawks came into Minnesota last night on a six-game point streak but were defeated 3-2 by the Wild. In roster news, Cam Barker is happy to be back up with the big club.
- The Avalanche players that were on the team when Todd Bertuzzi hit Steve Moore have put that incident behind them, writes Terry Frei.
- The Oilers lost again last night and coach Craig MacTavish says it is no secret why his team is struggling to win games. With the Oilers heading out on a seven-game road trip, Terry Jones of the Edmonton Sun said you can’t understate the importance of last night’s loss. One thing is for sure, Dwayne Roloson surely wasn’t the problem last night.
- With the way the Wild is playing, who needs Marian Gaborik? Michael Russo thinks the Wild should start focusing on Niklas Backstrom’s contract situation before focusing on getting Gaborik re-upped.
- The Habs will have Andrei Kostitsyn and Chris Higgins together in the line-up for the first time tonight, and that should give the team a good shot at ending Cam Ward’s success against Les Habitants.
