NHL Morning Papers (Tuesday Edition)

Here are the morning papers for Tuesday the 5th of August:

• Bucky Gleason of the Buffalo News has all the details on the coaching staff for the Sabres’ new AHL affiliate in Portland.
• The Blue Jackets are hoping Raffi Torres will be able to turn up his workouts, as the former Oiler is in the process of recovering from knee surgery.
• In Detroit, the Red Wings officially hired Brad McCrimmon as an assistant coach and re-signed assistant coach Paul MacLean to a three-year deal.
• The IIHF is expected to hand down a ruling on Alexander Radulov’s playing status by mid-August, writes John Glennon of the Tennessean.
• Kevin Paul Dupont has a feature on the Bruins’ big off-season acquisition Michael Ryder.
• Dan Bylsma (remember him?) has been named the newest coach of the Penguins’ AHL affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
• Coming off of a serious groin injury, Chris Clark expects to be ready for training camp, writes Tarik El-Bashir.
• Meanwhile, the Sharks were finally able to get Ryane Clowe under contract for one season at $1.6 million.
• Apparently the Blackhawks plan on using a two-goalie rotation, writes Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune.  (Writer’s note: That is one expensive two-goalie rotation.)
• As Derek Van Diest of the Edmonton Sun explains, both Sam Gagner and Andrew Cogliano know what is expected of them come next season.
