NHL Morning Papers (Saturday Edition): NHL teams might not be flying charter anymore, it appears that Alfredsson thinks it would be best if Heatley is gone and the Wild may be ready to make an offer to Sykora

Today’s morning papers:

Western Conference:

  • Is Minnesota Wild GM Chuck Fletcher getting ready to make an offer to free agent winger Petr Sykora?
  • Looks like some Wings prospects are hoping that getting to camp early might help them make the big club this season.
  • Guess who’s back, back again.  Looks like Dan Cloutier, after a year out of hockey, will be trying out with the Red Wings this season.
  • It appears that this story has been on again, off again and on again, as the see saw relationship between the Oilers and formerly favored son, Mike Comrie continues and a contract still hasn’t been signed.
  • Predators fans should rejoice because it appears that Barry Trotz has a plan to help out the lackluster Nashville powerplay.
