NHL Morning Papers: Non-Playoff Teams (Tuesday Edition)

Here are the morning papers for the teams that did not qualify for the post-season:

• Sabres netminder Ryan Miller has joined the NHL competition committee.
• A lot of the Hurricanes are going to be participating in the World Hockey Championships in Quebec City and Halifax.
• The Islanders have signed prospect Tomas Marcinko the team’s fourth round draft pick in 2006.
• Here is some news on the Lightning’s pending sale. (Writer’s note: Wake me up when this saga is over. No one wants to hear about this anymore.)
• Paul Hunter of the Toronto Star thinks Brian Burke will be the next GM of the Maple Leafs. Apparently the Leafs are offering Burke a whopping $23 million over 5 years!!!
