News @ Night: Two MVP’s hang out (Lebron & A.O.), Chris Osgood is the playoff starter, Canes intensity is questioned, Ducks magic number.

  • When Lebron met OvechkinHe felt so bad that he didn’t have a present for A.O. that it messed him up against the lowly Wizards.
  • Caps nations feels as if there guys could win the Hart & Norris trophies this year.  Good chance that either or both could win.
  • Greatest Sharks: Mind Yo’ Netminders.   Vernon to me will always be a Flame.  Hands down its Nabokov.
  • Its officially offical, Chris Osgood is the playoff starter.   Can’t rest on that; remember so was Hasek last year.
  • Tom Hicks’ sports team holding company has defaulted on $525 million in loans related to ownership of the Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers.  Doesn’t sound like it will really effect either team.
  • Exuberant Savard trying to be a shooting star.  He’s a sniper.
  • With little to look forward to some Avalanche Fans are resorting to conspiracy theories.
  • Will intensity be an issue for the Canes‘ come playoffs? They’ve reeled off 7 in a row.  Doubt they have much to worry about.
  • The youngest Staal brother was signed by the San Antonio Rampage to an amatuer try out deal.  This generation’s Sutter brothers.
  • The Pittsburgh Penguins added to their prospect depth today by signing Hobey Baker finalist, goaltender Brad Thiessen, who just finished up his junior year with Northeastern.  The Pens sure have depth in their minor system at goalie.
  • Seven, Two, Four and One are magic numbers for the Ducks.   Math isn’t my area.
