Murat Ates with more on which pieces would be coming back in a Jets trade with the Kings for Pierre-Luc Dubois

Two of the three players who were expected to be part of the return to the Jets when they deal Pierre-Luc Dubois to the Kings have been out there for awhile in Gabe Vilardi and Alex Iafallo.

On Monday, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period had mentioned there would be another forward packaged as part of the deal to Winnipeg.

Today Murat Ates of The Athletic indicated:

“I’m hearing Los Angeles and Winnipeg are closing in on thr Pierre-Luc Dubois deal.”

And the unknown player according to Murat would be Rasmus Kupari. He’s a Finnish 1st rounder (2018) centre who played 66 games for the Kings last season scoring three goals and adding 12 assists. He also played 11 games for the Ontario Reign of the AHL scoring five goals with four assists.

Iafallo (29) is signed for two more seasons with a 4 million dollar cap hit. Vilardi (23) is a RFA with arbitration rights. While Kupari (23) is a restricted free agent.

It’s expected as per Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet that Jansen Harkins would be joining Pierre-Luc Dubois heading to L.A. And it seems like there could be more pieces involved. Stay tuned and be sure you’re subscribing to our YouTube channel for reaction.
