As training camp in Winnipeg gets closer and closer we are starting to see more and more familiar and new faces joining the mix. On Friday we had a chance to catch up with Luke Schenn (watch here) and Morgan Barron (watch here) and we will resume media avails this week. For now it’s limited to observing as the crew of players continues to grow in size.
That group included Mark Scheifele, Colin Miller, Ville Heinola, Neal Pionk, Kale Clague, David Gustafsson, Gabriel Vilardi, Vlad Namestnikov, Walker Duehr, Samuel Fagemo, Dylan Samberg, Cole Perfetti and Eric Comrie.

In addition the city is gonna see an influx of prospects as they get set for the Prospect Showdown which takes place in Montreal this weekend. Taking part today were Brayden Yager, Elias Salomonsson, Fabian Wagner and Jacob Julien. We know prospects like Nikita Chibrikov and Danny Zhilkin were skating last week and it’s possible more are here but those are the guys who I saw skating today.
Captain Adam Lowry was back on the ice skating with former NHLer J.P. Vigier as he works his way back from offseason hip surgery. I’ve only been there three times in the last week but as far as I could tell this was the longest he was on the ice skating for almost an hour.
We might be speaking with him this week so perhaps we will gain some more clarity on his timeline.
He's closing in on his first game since January 13th.
The 2024 2nd rounder is in Winnipeg where he'll spend the rest of the season…
At the GM meetings GMKC spoke 1-on-1 with Gino Reda.
