If you like unusual quirks in the schedule tonight’s game between the Moose and Wolves in Chicago is the fifth time in the last seven games these two teams have faced off.
Lineup news:
Only change was Domenic DiVincentiis got the net back after Isaac Poulter won in his Moose debut. They also swapped the D pairs with Bauer going up with Heinola and Phillips paired with Clague.
Moose lineup:
Barlow – Zhilkin – JAD
Lambert – Yager – Fagemo
Di Giuseppe – Ford – Chibrikov
Shaw – Gustafsson – Duehr
Heinola – Bauer
Phillips – Clague
Sautner – Anhorn
DiVincentiis
Notable:
Back to back games with a goal for Jets prospect Brayden Yager as he opens the scoring for the Moose. Nice pass by Samuel Fagemo. He and David Gustafsson both draw assists. Came just as power play expired.
Late in the 1st Samuel Fagemo does what he does which is scores goals. His team leading (at the time) 7th of the season gave the Moose a 2-0 lead over the Wolves.
Walker Duehr stays hot as he gets his 7th of the season to make it a 3-0 game for the Moose in the 3rd (and he wasn’t done there).
Another goal in the 3rd for Walker Duehr as he scored his second of the game which came 59 seconds after his previous one. Gives him 8 goals on the season which gives him the team lead.
Phil Di Giuseppe with the fifth goal of the game for the Moose as he makes it 5-0 over the Wolves in Chicago. He shows off some nice hand-eye coordination with this tally. It’s his sixth of the season.
Domenic DiVincentiis 30-save shutout. First of season.
As a result of the win Manitoba are now 3-1-1 in this five game of the last seven set against Chicago who went 2-2-0-1.
Moose remain tied for 2nd with the Admirals with both teams trailing the blazing hot Griffins who are an incredible 17-1-0 on the season.
Multi-point game:
Walker Duehr 2G 1A
Samuel Fagemo 1G 2A
Brayden Yager 1G 1A
Ville Heinola 2A
David Gustafsson 2A
