The Moose had a day of practice on Saturday as they looked to rebound from a disappointing game 1 loss to the Admirals on Friday night.
Lineup news:
The only changes were Oskari Salminen got the net from Arvid Holm who moved to backup. Jimmy Oligny came in for Dean Stewart.
Moose lineup:

Torgersson-Maier-Limoges
Jones-Meireles-Ford
Polei-Nikkanen-Bongiovanni
Chisholm – Gawanke
Sautner – Heinola
Oligny – Lundmark

Notable:
It was a good crowd on hand this afternoon with what I estimated to be approximately 5K (turned out I was off by 200).
The Moose weren’t as tentative to start and even guys not known for hitting were laying the body like this one by Declan Chisholm.
After a pretty tight opening frame it was Nicholas Jones who created an opportunity for himself and buried it upstairs on the backhand to open the scoring for the Moose.
Even when Manitoba made a miscue netminder Oskari Salminen was up to the task like on this shot by former Jets 2.0 legend Zach Sanford (and sons).
Tempers flared at the end of the opening period and the middle frame and these two clubs look like two teams that have faced each other 27 times between last season (17) and this season (10).
Salminen was up to the task when he got tested by the Admirals.
After Milwaukee took a 2-1 lead with seven minutes to go in the 3rd period it wasn’t looking good for the home team as they got shots on Yaroslav Askarov but couldn’t solve him to even it up. That was until alternate captain Cole Maier, from a tough angle, fired a shot on net which tied the game 2-2 with 52.2 seconds left in the final frame.
This was the first ever Moose 2.0 game to go to OT.
Early in the OT it was Jansen Harkins (who else) who puts home a Declan Chisholm rebound to give the Moose a 3-2 comeback win which evened the series 1-1. Check out this video of the crowd’s reaction and then check out this video of Daniel Fink’s play-by-play goal call.
