The Moose were looking for a measure of revenge after losing in regulation to the Rocket on Sunday.
Lineup news:
Only changes to the Moose lineup will be the pro debut for Parker Ford with Manitoba captain Jimmy Oligny coming out (they went 11/7 last game). Oskari Salminen gets the net in the re-match with the Rocket.
Moose lineup:
Malott – Toninato – Harkins
Reichel – Maier – Boland
Torgersson – Nikkanen – Jones
Caron – Meireles – Ford
Heinola – Gawanke
Stewart – Lundmark
Sautner – Bauer
Salminen
Holm
Notable:
Moose were in need of a goal so Jansen Harkins went for a skate before scoring his 21st of the season to tie the game. What a season he’s having for Manitoba: 36 games 21 goals 21 assists 42 points.
Have to wonder if the league will issue some supplemental discipline for this boarding that took out Ashton Sautner. He was understandably upset by the lack of penalty call in the game.
Just when it was looking like this game was gonna get out of hand Tyler Boland brings Manitoba within one as he scored his ninth goal of the season.
Greg Meireles had a good game but lots of close but no cigars like this chance which he ripped off the crossbar.
While there wasn’t much to celebrate for Manitoba one positive was Parker Ford scored his first pro goal in his first pro game.
Drops Manitoba to 34-21-5-4.
