Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets need help finding back of net.  Not too many options left if they go the way of UFA.

Winnipeg Sun:  Chipman cooler than the Fonz.  Who knew a key to the city was such a big deal.

Telegraph-Journal:  Jones inks one year deal with Jets.  As he says, time to throw away the sandals, although with the dial hitting in the 30’s (upper 80’s), he might need them for awhile, but it is always good to have players excited to play for your team.

Mercury News:  Sharks ship Heatley to Wild.  And they call this the off-season, don’t think so.

Washington Post:  Getting Vokoun a coup for the Capitals.  Doesn’t make playing in the Southeast division any easier.  Gm  George McPhee is looking like a genius right now.

Miami Herald:  Florida Panthers get rare glimpse of spotlight.  Dale Tallon sure did something alright.  Only time will tell if he made the right decisions.
