Reporters were granted access to the Boston dressing room when they were suddenly asked to leave. Moments later, two Wilmington police cruisers and two firetrucks were seen leaving the arena.

Bruins head coach Claude Julien confirmed that Hunwick, 23, left by ambulance with one of the team’s trainers. Julien said the American-born defenceman was suddenly “not feeling well,” and went to talk to the team trainers, who immediately called an ambulance.

This injury is more important than some may realize.  Hunwick has provided big important minutes on the Bruins’ back-end this season and is a very good puck-mover.  He did have his struggles in Game 1, but it is a drop off to have Shane Hnidy dress in his place.
