From Steve Zipay of Newsday:

Blackhawks are shopping speedy Martin Havlat ($6 mil, then UFA) to several teams, one of them the Rangers, I’m told by someone familiar with the process. Interesting. Especially if you can land him with a D from Chicago.

Martin Havlat would be an interesting acquisition for the Rangers. He is a supremely talented player, but is always injured. His price tag of $6 million per season is a heavy price to pay for a player that very well might play less than 40 games.
