Mark Scheifele skates with Winnipeg Jets assistant coach Marty Johnston ahead of today’s media availability

While there are plenty of question marks ahead of game 7 tomorrow night in Winnipeg the biggest one surrounds the status of Jets top centre Mark Scheifele.

He left game 5 after the 1st period and his absence was felt in game 6 back in St. Louis.

Today, the Jets were scheduled to hold media availability with players and head coach Scott Arniel. Before it got underway Kelly Moore of 680 CJOB reported that Mark Scheifele was skating in a track suit with assistant coach Marty Johnston.

We will have to wait to see if head coach Scott Arniel gives any indication that 55 is available for a critical game 7 on Sunday.

Update:

As per the assembled media inside the Matt Frost Media Centre the Jets bench boss labelled Mark Scheifele a “game-time decision”.

That’s a big development.
