Mark Morrison hired as head coach of the Manitoba Moose

The search for Pascal Vincent’s replacement is over as the Manitoba Moose have a new head coach with the hiring of Mark Morrison. Morrison had spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach with the Ducks in Anaheim.

Folks will remember Morrison as a Moose assistant coach for the first couple of seasons when the team moved to Winnipeg after being in St. John’s, where he had been an assistant on Keith McCambridge’s staff with the IceCaps for four seasons.

This will be the first head coaching gig for the Delta, BC product in the AHL. He was head coach of the Victoria Salmon Kings in the ECHL from 2006-07 to 2010-11 before he joined St. John’s for their first season as the Jets AHL affiliate.
