Another practice at hockey for all centre for the AHL club of Manitoba as the Moose continue to prepare for their season opener and whittle down the training camp roster.
Skate news:
Recently assigned Jets prospect Brad Lambert was on the ice today but I didn’t see Axel Jonsson-Fjallby or Chaz Lucius. I actually thought I had seen AJF on the ice briefly but then he was heading for the room, which was later confirmed to me.
They are working on creating chemistry although Brad Lambert showed some with Dominic Toninato and Parker Ford during this rush.
Lines and D pairs:
Toninato-Lambert-Ford
Chibrikov-Zhilkin-Shaw
King-Suess-Ford
Conley-Nikkanen-Liwiski
Empey-Golder-Torgersson
Lundmark – Salomonsson
Kuzmin – Bauer
Sautner – Barteaux
Anhorn – Sward

Health update:
Moose head coach Mark Morrison confirmed that Axel Jonsson-Fjallby left the practice shortly after it began. He tweaked his groin and he “didn’t just want to make it any worse” so they kept him off the ice as a precaution. Said he’ll get treatment today and they hope he’ll be on the ice tomorrow.
With respect to 2021 1st rounder Chaz Lucius he is still recovering from his ankle surgery said the Manitoba bench boss and was dealing with some soreness so they are being cautious as they do not want to keep pushing it as they want to make sure he’s 100%. Sounds like it’s more “ice time management”.
