Manitoba Moose struggles at home continue as they are shutout in back-to-back falling 5-0 to the Marlies

The Moose have had trouble at home this season going 3-11-0-1 whereas on the road they’ve put up a close to .500 record at 8-9-1-0.

Lineup news:

Only a few moves made today as C.J. Suess and Tyrel Bauer were both back in the lineup after dealing with illness. With them returning out went a pair of Manitobans in Mark Liwiski and Dawson Barteaux.

Lines & D pairs:

Shaw– JAD – AJF
Lucius – King – Chibrikov
Suess – Lambert – Ford
Wagner – Zhilkin – Empey

Sautner – Lundmark
Phillips – Coghlan
Anhorn – Bauer

Kahkonen

Notable:

The pride of Thunder Bay Matt Murray picks up back-to-back shutouts as the Moose kept it close through 40 (down 1-0) before the floodgates opened in the 3rd and the Marlies took it 5-0 in front of 5000+ inside CLC.

Jets prospect Nikita Chibrikov left the game and did not return. He was taking a guy into the boards and his leg buckled (see here). No update after the game on his status.

Health update:

Assistant coach Morgan Klimchuk didn’t have an update on Nikita Chibrikov after the game.

Up next:

The Moose will either practice tomorrow or take the day off and resume practice on Tuesday as they get set for their next game which is on Thursday when they welcome the Griffins to town for a two-game set. We shall look for an update on Jets prospects Nikita Chibrikov and Elias Salomonsson.
