This isn’t breaking news since the agency for CJ Suess tweeted it out back on July 4th but the team has now confirmed that Suess will be back in antlers for the next two seasons. The 2014 5th round pick of the Jets played 166 games for Manitoba where he scored 45 goals and added 38 assists for 83 points. He also played four NHL games for Winnipeg.
Last year was the first time the Minnesota product was with a new organization as he signed a one-year deal with the Sharks playing mostly for their AHL affiliate Barracuda although he did get one more NHL game in with the Sharks.
He’ll add some veteran depth to a roster that was young already last season in the AHL and could be even younger with a number of Jets prospects set to be with the team next season.
