The Moose are hitting the ice to prepare for their upcoming games against the Rocket where they will see former head coach Pascal Vincent in Winnipeg for the first time as an AHL bench boss of another team. The big question mark for the team was which players would be missing since the Jets need a few before they head west as Rasmus Kupari is back in protocol leaving them without an extra forward and goalie Eric Comrie and his wife are expected a child either at any moment or it might have happened today.

Skate news:

It appears Jaret Anderson-Dolan and goalie Chris Driedger aren’t skating.

Coach media:

Following practice we caught up with Manitoba bench boss Mark Morrison who spoke about the six games they have at home upcoming as well as red-hot Jets prospect Fabian Wagner who has seven goals in his last 11 games.

We also got health updates from the head coach on Nikita Chibrikov, Chaz Lucius and Parker Ford which you can read about here.

Family visit:

The Wagner family will be making the trip from Sweden to Manitoba to see their son play in the AHL for the first time.

Recall news:

After practice we learned, as expected, that both Anderson-Dolan and Driedger had been recalled up to  Winnipeg. As a result the Jets re-assigned goalie prospect Thomas Milic from Norfolk of the ECHL to their AHL affiliate.

Up next:

Manitoba and Laval will do battle on Tuesday night as they kick off six straight games at home. Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT.
