The Moose were scheduled for a practice in Winnipeg before they head out on a potentially season defining road trip which will see them play four games within their division. With only 17 games remaining and a 10 point gap between themselves and a playoff spot, which is currently held by the IceHogs, the odds are against the AHL club of Manitoba. They’ll face Chicago, Iowa twice and then end in Rockford which will be the most critical game of the four.

Skate news:

Seemed like most guys were on the ice this morning.

That included Kevin Conley who was skating in a yellow, non-contact jersey. He’s been out of the lineup since January 11th.

Health updates:

Defenceman Tyrel Bauer had a monumental fight against Alex Gallant on Saturday (if you missed it, see it here) and he didn’t play on Sunday. Moose head coach Mark Morrison indicated he is now “full go” but that Bauer had a bump under his eye which was impeding his vision so they were being careful. He will play the next game in Chicago.

Regarding Kevin Conley he will be making the trip with the team and could be ready to return in 5-7 days.

Still no update on Jets prospect Chaz Lucius who is dealing with an ailment that has kept him out of the lineup since February 9th.

Up next:

The team will fly to Chicago this afternoon where they will start this road trip against the Wolves on Thursday night.
